Admittedly, after a long period studying for four years in high school, another thing you consider is what to do beyond your college life. You maybe day dreaming what course you opt to take when in reality you could not afford to go since you’re lacking of your tuition fees. Since it is in reality that committing to college is more expensive and more complicated than in high school, and you may think you don’t have any chances anymore. Don’t lose hope; there are actually many chances for you.

You can still reach your dream enrolling yourself in courses good for six or one to two years only. This is what they mostly call vocational courses; tuition fees offered is more inexpensive than in college, well in fact if you are still in your high school, you can join vocational courses depending in the schedule you have. If your classes end at exactly four pm or five, you can rush to your vocational classes at five since there are available time for it. Vocational courses does not mean cheap, it actually mold students to learn an in demand profession in some other countries.

Another advantage with the vocational courses, most of the courses offered is that hot demand not only in your own country but some other countries around the globe. Try to imagine that with only two or three years of studying you will already earned much money than working in food chains. There are many chances involving your self in vocational classes. And you will be given a chance to meet new people and culture around if ever you will hired in working abroad.

Mostly, all about vocational courses gives you an insight for your future career, but try also to consider the university who offers these courses. Don’t get into your excitement, probe if this institution you are enrolling is prestigious for the said courses. Since maybe things will turn to chaos, ask friends who currently enrolled in that institution if it is worthy to enroll a vocational courses there. But maybe your friend’s comments would not convince you much, go for yourself and ask someone about the school’s record and don’t be introverted asking since it is your future who are we talking for.

Engaging vocational courses is truly not a waste of time, it has a similarity being with typical college students but vocational courses end up to six to two year. But the studying process is worth fulfilling you would not regret enrolling the course since it will give you big impact in your own country and to others since most of the courses offered are highly in demand as mentioned earlier. And most of the students who got vocational courses have great possibility of getting a job than those who finish with college degree, since we all know that nowadays there are many degree holder who have been include in the lists of the world of jobless. Though there are a few who have been into a good job, unlike having only vocational courses have great chances of immediately hired for the in demand vacant positions.

DO you have the financial means to get enrolled in college after high school? If you don’t, then go for vocational education. It’s a relatively inexpensive way to get a higher educational degree and at the same time enhance one’s skills. Remember that vocational education is not just cheap; it also teaches the student to develop one’s technical interest in a particular field that he or she chooses. The student will then develop those skills and convert them into a lucrative career throughout his life. Although a vocational program is full of laboratory and internship sessions, its tuition is relatively inexpensive because it doesn’t lead to a formal tertiary degree so to speak. And here is even a better piece of news. There are vocational education programs that would last to only about six months. That simply means one will be paying tuition that costs to an eighth only to that of a formal college education of eight semesters.

Here in the United States, vocational education is offered through community colleges which are owned by the state they are in. And here is even more good news for those who are still in high school and who want to fast-track their skills education. Let’s say you’re already in your 12th grade or senior year in high school. You can actually opt to enroll in a community college and take a particular skills course for just six months. Your high school studies will definitely not suffer because high school classes usually end around 3 p.m. You can then hop a ride towards the community college where you are enrolled in and take the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. classes.

Another advantage of a community college offering vocational programs is that they offer skills courses only which can be used by the various industries existing in a particular county. Let’s say that your county is rich in gold mines. Mining is the only technical course offered in a particular vocational school. In this way, the student is ensured of employment by the time him or her graduates. Other vocational schools/community colleges even extend a helping hand by hosting job fairs by the companies in their area and by extending communiqués towards these companies containing the names of highly recommended students who are about to graduate.

Let’s say that you’ve already graduated from a technical college and you’ve already been working in a mine. If you’ve saved some bucks for yourself in two years’ time, then you can already enroll in a formal regular college. Colleges prefer accepting enrollees who have already graduated in a vocational college because they see these students as really interested to learn the program that they have chosen. This is true for athletes too. If you are rejected by a college for let’s say a basketball varsity scholarship, then don’t lose hope. Enroll in a vocational school and let your basketball talent shine and be noticed. Once you’ve got the reputation, you will surely have a slot in the athletic scholarship in a regular college once you’ve graduated from a vocational school.

If you are a person who have graduated from three degree courses and already bored of applying for a job because of no vacancy problem, better still, try for a short term course in the nearest colleges or universities near you. Other people call it vocational courses because some of these courses will only take you 6 months or one year to finish, while others will also take two to three years before you could get your diploma.

Fresh graduates of degree courses in many countries are increasing every year, and yet, could not apply for a job because of lack of opportunities. This employment problem is common in underdeveloped countries. Hundreds of thousands of degree courses are graduating every year but still unemployed. But mind you, in developed countries, those who are skilled workers (who graduated from vocational courses) are the ones who can easily land a job. Why is this so? Because these people are not even one third of the whole population of new graduates every year. When they apply for certain positions in companies, there is no competition since only very are applying for the position. However, in degree courses, many students are graduates of the courses available in school. In that sense, competition is very strong.

If you have noticed industrialized countries need more skilled workers than professionals. There are lots of employment opportunities in vocational jobs in these countries and they need to get these skilled workers from other countries, or else, the demand for skilled workers who can finish the job on time cannot be solved.

Why only very few enrolled in vocational courses

Many young people are choosy of the courses they would take up in college. Actually, more than fifty percent of those who took degree courses have not really made good decisions. Others are only influenced by friends while others are undecided and they only follow what are supposedly in demand. When they graduate, they lack enough knowledge of the course they took up because they are not much interested on the subject matters. When they graduated in college they are only part of the millions of jobless applicants all over the globe.

What are in demand vocational courses

While choosing what vocational course to take up in college you should also consider what are ‘hot careers’ on demand when you apply for a job. Well, some of these short-term vocational courses include computer operators, programmers, technicians and developer. These only require one or two years to finish and you can start applying for job opportunities.

High paying courses

If you are living in a third world country and graduated in vocational courses, you have great chances of getting hired immediately in other countries because of lots of hiring for skilled workers. You are also assured of high-paying job because if work overseas there is a big payout waiting for you. But if you only choose to work in your own country you still have chances of getting accepted. However as to how much you can get if you work in your country, that’s I don’t know.

Truth is, there are also many graduates in third world countries in vocational courses but the opportunity of getting hired is a problem. Third world countries need more degree courses graduates rather than vocational graduates.
