Students who cannot afford the high demand tuition fee of college can enroll a vocational course. Vocational education is a type of education that train and teach students on some techniques and aptitudes depending on the course field they chose.

On the other hand, trainings and other short term of studies are also considered as vocational courses and these kinds of courses are mostly offered by the educational institutions. But there are also some profit institutions that offer vocational education and they are considered as commercially oriented types of vocational training. In fact, there are also various private and government that owned educational institutions that offer vocational education. Most of these vocational courses are offered to those who were undergraduate as well as graduate courses.  A Film Critic and Vocational School Graduate

A Film Critic and Vocational School GraduateTHANK God I graduated from a vocational school. I would have never started being a film critic younger if I graduated from a four-year academic degree. To all the high school graduates out there, don’t worry that you cannot achieve a college degree. Even great people like Michael Dell and Steven Soderbergh who dropped out of college became successful. Right now, I’m still 19 but I’m proud that I can do movie critiques already even though I just graduated a total of four academic semesters from a vocational school.

The first movie that I’ll be critiquing is Witless Protection. I believe (don’t use think because that word denotes doubt) that this movie has significance because it is the very first movie that a US Marshal guarding a principal in the Justice Department’s witness protection program is portrayed as a comedian rather than a serious action figure like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Tommy Lee Jones. Witless Protection is starred by Larry the Cable Guy.

The second movie that I’ll be critiquing is 27 Dresses. This is the perfect movie for all wedding planners out there. Here in our locality in Laredo, Texas, there are lots of wedding planners who are so shapely and so sexy but they are already in their mid-30s. And they never get married. I wonder what fate had shaped for them; all they do is plan the weddings of their contemporaries without thinking of their own. That’s the demographic of society that 27 Dresses wants to send a message – the females who are still single. And I think they’ve nailed one on this. Oh I almost forget to mention that 27 Dresses is directed by 41-year old choreographer Anne Fletcher so she can perfectly relate the plot of the movie.

The next movie that I’ll be critiquing is The Eye. The Eye is one movie that you must watch because this is the very first horror movie done by Jessica Alba. We first saw Jessica as an innocent 14-year old diving with dolphins in Flipper, then she moved on becoming a sexy action star in Dark Angel, then graced the cover of Maxim, then went back diving but this time with a sexier body and with hunk Paul Walker in tow in Out of the Blue. Then she did a graphic movie in Sin City and next, she became one of the superheroes in Fantastic Four and its sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer. Now, she’s into horror of a Japanese remake. I’d say she’s a great kid.

The Beauty of Enrolling in a Vocational Program

The Beauty of Enrolling in a Vocational ProgramTHERE are lots of developments happening in the vocational world in the United States today. Therefore, don’t be left behind. Strive instead to be on top of the competition. Right now, it is almost spring break and as you are about to graduate, now is high time for you to think on which vocational program will propel you to success in your own community.

By the way, success is not just limited to your own community. Consider this – if you are intending to take up a vocational three-year course in French studies because there is a huge factory of Alcatel-Lucent to be put up in Atlanta perhaps, then vocational schools in the city will surely accommodate a program in French studies. That may take only three semesters long as each stage in the program is equal to one semester. In the basic stage, students are made to write an essay entirely in French and will recite it in front. The length of the essay increases as the days in the French tutorial sessions also progress. Similar methods are undergoing in the intermediate and advanced stages of the course. Because most vocational schools build their own network with prospective employers in the county, you can easily get a job at Alcatel-Lucent. This is one way for vocational schools to attract enrollees – sure shot at employment upon graduation. Once you’re at Alcatel-Lucent, you will surely not have a stagnant job if you really know French and if you’re really good and polite. Maybe you will be promoted and you’ll be assigned at Alcatel-Lucent headquarters itself in Paris. Wow, Paris! It’s the most romantic place in the world.

If you are living in Oahu, perhaps the most prominent vocational school offering in that county is an associate degree in hotel and restaurant management. Hospitality degrees here may not be as reputable as they are in such renowned Swiss hotel schools but it’s not in a school that success is formed. It’s in the character of the person who is studying. Whether you are enrolled in a community college in Honolulu or at a very-well known hospitality college in Bern, you will surely succeed if that is really your aim. So here we are. If for example, you have graduated in barely three years an associate in hotel and restaurant management in Honolulu, then you will surely be employed as a restaurant supervisor for starters in any resort here. You will be inventorying everything that goes in the restaurant such as food supplies like raw fish, etc as well as wine imported from Italy. Isn’t that a lovely job? But wait, there is something more. During your free time such as rest days, try to apply online to more lucrative posts in five-star cruise ships which go to the Mediterranean or the Caribbean or Tahiti. That is really okay. So as early as this spring break, try to discern now which career you would like to map as your own.

About

Choosing a career and preparing for that chosen career are two of the most important aspects of your life. Identifying what interests you and what you are truly passionate about are key elements in determining your personal and professional success and contentment. In most cases, the foundations needed to succeed in a particular job or field are covered by the curriculum in standard academic institutions such as colleges and universities. However, there are some jobs that require practical skills and continuous hands-on training - the kind of skills not generally provided by traditional educational institutions. If the job you want to excel in falls into this category, then you should consider taking up courses at vocational schools.
